Nikolay Michaylov is a Bulgarian-born cinematographer based in Toronto.
In 2026, he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Achievement in Cinematography for Measures for a Funeral (2024). His other feature credits include Matt and Mara (2024), 100 Sunset (2025), and Anne at 13,000 Ft. (2019), winner of the Toronto Film Critics Association's Best Canadian Film Award.
His work has screened internationally at festivals including the Berlinale, TIFF, and New Directors/New Films in New York. In 2023, he was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talents Camera Studio. In addition to his feature work, he has photographed award-winning music videos and commercials.
